radiology, laboratory, intensive care unit (ICU) and operating rooms.

The emergency department works 24/7 to manage all critical cases, severe pain and injuries.

A triage system is applied to classify patients according to priority, where cases are compared to their severity.

Emergency Department comprises 5 equipped rooms to deal with various cases with the availability of an isolation room to deal with infectious diseases, and a room for critical cases equipped as small emergency operation.


The emergency team is characterized by the presence of a group of specialists who are specialized in emergency medicine and trained to deal with all emergencies, injuries and accidents. Emergency team holds the advanced trauma Life Support Course for Accidents and Injuries approved by the American College of Surgeons and the American Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. Additionally, the team holds Advanced life support for children and adults' certificates and several emergency courses. Moreover, the emergency team is trained to deal with all patients in crisis and disaster situations in a scientific manner that is followed world-wide.


ELARABY Hospital provides 9 ambulances that work throughout the week to transport emergency cases to and from the hospital. Fully equipped ambulances

are available as a mobile intensive care unit to handle all critical cases. Equipped ambulances are also available to transport neonates to and from the hospital. The emergency of ELARABY Hospital is characterized by activating the stroke code to deal with acute stroke cases that need quick treatment to save the brain from the effect of the clot, so that the time from receiving the patient, the diagnosis and starting to give him the clot solvent does not exceed 45 minutes.
